THE REUNITED

Bridging many, many years of hiatus, we meet once again,
Reunited on UK soil, to traipse down the Mysore memory lanes.
From different walks of life we merged onto a path to embark on a medical journey,
The experiences, memories, tribulations we share are far too many.
Some of us began as Tarzans and some like Janes,
The girls have grown into lovely wise ladies and the boys into scholars and gents.
The tenure that began towards upholding the Hippocratic oath;
A period most love, some adore, all treasure and a very few loathe.
But hey ho, That’s life- not always guaranteed to be a bed of roses
Love, anger, joy and sorrow spice life up in varying doses.

Let us take time to reminisce the ones who got off the train prematurely,
Their brief sojourn on our train was not expected, and they will be missed dearly!
Well, no one is a permanent traveler on this beautiful life’s train.
Let’s take inspiration from the colourless, odourless droplets of rain…
That fall from the skies, pass through the atmosphere, merging with earth like a routine chore,
But leave behind rainbows, gentle freshness and not to forget …the petrichor!!!

So here we are celebrating our past, our present and our unseen future,
Leave no room for hatred; love and kindness is all we should nurture.
We all stand here with hearts filled with pride and joy to be products of our Alma mater
Have fun, make good memories, share happiness and be good which is all that matters.
